I came across this song on iTunes a few months ago and fell in love with it. After the past few days here in Nashville this song takes on a stronger meaning for me. Nashville and many parts of Tennessee have been ravaged by flood waters. I read a heartbreaking story this morning about a father and young daughter who died while he was trying to save her. There are so many more stories that are just flooding us with emotions right now. In the face of such destruction and devastation it is easy to become overwhelmed and freeze instead of jumping in and helping out.
There is one thing to remember in times such as this, there is no one like our God, and he is still God of this city. That is becoming abundantly clear as God's people open their hearts and show his love. So here is our task, remember God is still in control, the rainbow came out, now let's make a difference and show an increasingly skeptical world that God still rules our lives! Because greater things are yet to come and greater things are still to be done in this city!
